It’s like nothing has changed at all.
New manager. New players. 100 million spent. Still exactly the same old problems.

Slow and ponderous build up with sideways passing and no movement. Completely unable to break down a bang average team.

Atrocious in defence and cut open at will by mediocre players who manage to find acres of space amongst our midfield and defence.

How? Given all the change this summer how can we have exactly the same problems and look just as poor?

What a load of rubbish.

Only plus points were Fabianski and Yarmolenko. Snodgrass and Zabaleta were decent as well. The rest were mainly shocking.

thing is mate.. dropping Noble has been tried previously..and for reasons that are beyond my brain..he is MISSED..tragically so.

and he is welcomed back as the prodigal..and so it goes on.

personally feel he needs moving on altogether...he has a lot of influence in the dressing room

Re: It’s like nothing has changed at all.
1985/86

we one one game in the first seven games..with three losses and three draws..and i recall Johnny Lyall getting a fair bit of stick.

he signed a young midfield upstart from St Mirren with a dodgy mullet by the name of trigger.

wasnt working out very well for young trigger,,until John shifted his teeth up front..the rest is history.

two games in...yes we have been beyond shite..and the Manager has to earn his dough over the coming months to sort it out.

even the demigod PEP..(that every bod insists on calling..so why rock the boat) was shown up in his first season at Man City..

Pelligrini had a lot of work to do..impossible to sort it all straight away..

that said..some worrying signs..but i simply refuse to judge a manager or side after two games...

call me old fashioned and naive

As long as Mark Noble is in the team, we will always be sluggish.

Never seen fans turn so quickly. Where is the optimism we had before the start of the season? I think the team will come good and any rotten apples will be discarded. I'm not thinking we'll be the finished article in a couple of games but do think we'll get better.

far too soon to panic ,we will be 13th/14th by early november ,start to gel and finish about 9th/10th anyone who expected better is deluded .

Snodgrass is pretty much the least of our problems to be honest. One of the few to emerge with any credit from today. I’d have him and Yarmolenko over Anderson in the team on the evidence of what I’ve seen so far.

Pelli likes pace - so why remove it all??
Masuaku needs to be upfield, utilise his pace, Noble & jack are too slow as a pair and Yarmolenko clearly has more pace and ability than Snoddy.

I couldn't agree more.

What on earth does Anderson do?

The centre of the defence is so poor, even Bournemouth cut through at will.

It's as bad as last season.

Re: It’s like nothing has changed at all.
Today you saw the reason why no one else bid for Anderson and why Emery wanted Wilshere out.

They are fucking clueless as is the cunt managing them.

Re: It’s like nothing has changed at all.
Pellegrini doesn't care. He's on the way down now and he's made his reputation and cash already. He doesn't need us and won't have a clue how to pull us out of this. I said as much when he was appointed, the half asleep looking cunt

Re: It’s like nothing has changed at all.
you have two slow central midfield players, even slower now kouyate's gone. we were desperate for some quality centrally to compensate for Noble's lack of mobility and got a 32 year old substitute

Re: It’s like nothing has changed at all.
Center Midfield had no mobility, gives zero protection to the defense and the build up play is far too slow!!..

Nothing we all haven´t known needed addressing for the last few seasons!!.. but heh!! what do we know!!

I know i´ll get shit for this but i don´t care Noble would be nowhere near my team, it´s not his fault he just hasn´t got the pace or mobility to operate effectively at his level any more!!

plus he doesn´t even take pens anymore!! :)

Make no mistake, we’re in deep trouble. Can see us getting relegated. Pellegrini has been a fucking moron.
